1964 JMI-Era VOX AC50 mk.II - This thing is an absolute BEAST. Featuring the legendary top boost circuitry on both a Brilliant and Normal channel feeding into 50 clean watts of EL34 oomph. I've even switched out the standard 12AU7 (which tends to sound the same the entire way through the gain range until practically cranked) for a vintage Telefunken 12AX7 which you'd find in most AC30s from this era. The result is an amp that sounds the way modern players WANT their AC30 to sound like. Turn down the input gain and you'll find a clean good enough for The Beatles, The Shadows and Oasis... Pair this amp with a telecaster type guitar and you are golden.
