It needs no introduction... The Holy Grail... This is a beautiful 1965 Vox AC30 twin with 6 inputs (Brilliant, Normal and Vib-Trem, all with high and low sensitivity) AND a factory-fitted top boost circuitry on the brilliant channel. JMI era too which, for those that don't know, was the glory days for Vox, where they were built in Essex, UK and were built for the standards of all the most iconic bands of the time. One of the big 3 names and the amp that gave them that status. Whilst in person these vintage AC30s can absolutely take your head off and are very difficult to tame. The sweet spot is uncomfortable to sit in front of in a normal sized room... But under a microphone through a vintage console... Oh my god.
This particular amp is loaded with vintage Celestion alnico blue speakers that absolutely impart their character in boatloads, unlike the modern recreations which are much tamer. Expect pure vintage tone from this amp that is unmistakably one of the most expensive and sought after tones of all time.
Of course, These 14 tones were each specially engineered per tone and captured using our Neve 1073 preamps, summed using our SSL 6000G console at Blue Bell Hill Studios.
